New articles every Monday!
Now that Fright Fest is less than 2 weeks away, it's time to start getting excited for all that this years event has to offer. With many fan favorites returning and new additions on their way, it's sure to be an exciting year for Six FLags Over Texas and Halloween fans. Without further ado, here are 5 things that we look forward to experiencing during this year's Fright Fest event.
1. New Scare Zones
If you've checked out our 2018 Guide to Fright Fest (which we highly suggest that you do), you would've seen that the park is introducing 2 new scare zones this season. Squeal Long Pig will be replacing Texas Scare-A-Tory in the Texas section of the park while Anarchy Unleashed will be located in Gotham City near Harley Quinn Spinsanity and the new Hell Block 6 haunted house. Anarchy Unleashed will actually be the pernament location for the Goblin Attack Squad, so be sure to check them out in their new home.
2. Hell Block 6
Yes, yes, and yes. Over the past couple of weeks, we have been sent more and more information regarding the new Hell Block 6 haunted house. While we can't spoil the details for you or share anything that we've been told, we can say that this is going to be one hell of a haunted house. (Yes, pun intended.) Hell Block 6 is sure to be a new fan favorite during Fright Fest, and if the rumors are true, during the spring and summer as well. We're beyond excited to see the elaborate sets and scares in person and share more information with you as soon as Fright Fest officially begins.
3. Arania's Nightmare
"Welcome to my nightmare, I think you're gonna' like it. I think you're gonna' feel, right at home." If the entire show plays out in your head like it does in mine, you know that you too are a fan of Arania's Nightmare. The show, played in the David Blackburn Southern Palace Theatre, is almost a right of passage for everyone visiting Fright Fest. This is by far one of our favorite parts of Fright Fest as the ever changing the pop culture references and engaging storyline keep me coming back again and again. For show times and more information, visit our 2018 Guide To Fright Fest.
4. The Awakening
Each night at 7:00pm, The Awakening commences to officially start Fright By Night. Featuring dozens of scare actors, fire and fog effects, and even a human sacrafice, this newly enhanced show is the perfect way to get in the mood for the night that lies ahead. And now that 2 new scare zones are being introduced, we're guaranteed to see a new script written to once again keep the show fresh and up to date.
5. The Atmosphere
There's just something about Fright Fest that always puts me in a good mood. The fall weather, specialty food vendors, music, and crowds all blend together and create an exciting park atmosphere that can't be matched any other time of the year. Plus, with the 11:00am-12:00am hours that can be found each and every Saturday of the event, there is more time than ever to experience everything that the park has to offer.
