Trip reports, rumors, construction and more!
It's been a couple of weeks since our last park update, but we're back! This week we'll be focusing on some Fright Fest preperation and news as well as construction on the new restraunt in Gotham City.
Gotham City Chicken Restaurant:
Not much visible progress has been made on the new chicken restaurant in Gotham City, but smaller details such as trims and paint detailing can be noticed if you look closely. I couldn't get a good picture of the interior of the restaurant because I left my camera at home, but multiple large boxes have arrived and are being stored inside of the restaurant.
New For Fright Fest 2018:
If you've checked out our news page or follow us on social media, you would've already seen that Six Flags Over Texas has announced what's new for Fright Fest 2018. 2 new scare zones and 1 new haunted house are included in this year's lineup and details can be found on our official guide to Fright Fest 2018. We look forward to experiencing the houses ourself in just 3 1/2 weeks.
Fright Fest Construction:
Now that daily operations are officially over, the work crew has been busy transforming the park for Fright Fest. Facades have been installed on Cirkus Bezerkus and Cadaver Hall Morge, Zombie Infestation's tent has been errected, and Piggy's Blood Shed is having its grouping room put together. Additionally, spider webs have been placed all around the France and Old South sections. Signs have appeared all around the park advertising the event as it draws closer and closer. It was great to see so much progress made in 5 days and it's getting me super excited for the event. Remember, opening day is September 22nd!
That's all for this Six Flags Over Texas park update. We can not emphasize enough just how excited we are for the 2018 season. So much has already taken place and from what we've seen, it's only the beginning! Stay tuned on overtexasthrills.com and our social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook @overtexasthrills) for updates as soon as articles like this are released. Thank you for reading and we'll see you again next time!
