In 2019, Six Flags Over Texas will introduce the Lone Star Revolution. This wild ride will invert guests head over heels at 100 feet in the air as they roate back and forth along a giant loop. The ride, manufactured by Larson International, is rumored to be replacing Caddo Lake Barge in the Tower section of the park.
"ARLINGTON, Texas--Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, today announced the opening of the world’s largest loop coaster — Lone Star Revolution. This exhilarating new coaster takes riders forward and backward on a gigantic loop before suspending them upside down for plenty of adrenaline-pumping hang-time. Lone Star Revolution will make its debut in late spring 2019.
“The Six Flags brand is synonymous with innovation at the highest level and we are excited to welcome another record-breaking attraction to an already stellar thrill ride arsenal,” said Park President Steve Martindale. “This Texas-sized loop coaster offers an intense, heart-pounding experience unlike any other ride in the park.”
Towering a staggering 100 feet tall, Lone Star Revolution sends riders back and forth propelling them head over heels through a series of 360° revolutions. The coaster changes direction halfway through the ride cycle; leaving riders suspended upside down at the top of the loop for even more intense thrills.

With less than 4 weeks to go until the start of Fright Fest 2018, preparation for the event is in full force. Not only have many props and haunt structures been put into place, but an announcement has finally been made regarding the new haunted house and scare zones as well! Below we will take a look at what all is new for this year's event.
Hell House 6 - Sentenced To Death: (Haunted House)
"Can you escape the warden’s domain, insane inmates and mutated shockers from death row? Find yourself sentenced to life with NO parole. You are now amongst to most violent criminals ever, locked up under ONE roof. Can you survive? Will you find an escape from Hell Block 6?"
Hell Block 6 is going to be located in the Gotham Section of the park next to Harley Quinn Spinsanity. An additional fee is required and the house will open at 6pm.
Squeal Long Pig: (Scare Zone)
While an official description is yet to be released, we expect this new addition to be replacing either Texas Scare-A-Tory or Los Chupacabras. Both locations are close by the Piggy's Blood Shed haunted house which would tie the area together and create a chainsaw-wielding-pig extravaganza.
Anarchy Unleashed: (Scare Zone)
Like with Squeal Long Pig, an official description of Anarchy Unleased is yet to be posted to the Six Flags website. However, our guess is that this addition will be located in the Star Mall (front gate) section of the park. The area was previously home to the Biomech Sector scare zone and is the first section that the guests see as they enter the park. The word "unleashed" makes this seem like a perfect fit for the area as it gets the guests ready for the fright that they've gotten themselves into.
The following attractions will NOT be returning for the 2018 season...
- Biomech Sector
- Boomtown Terror
- Texas Scare-A-Tory
- Los Chupacabras
That's all for this time. We are so excited to bring you more pictures, videos, and information regarding these new additons in the near future.
