Welcome to the first park update on the NEW overtexasthrills.com! We are so excited to have finally launched our new website, and we'd love to hear your feedback on what we can do to continue to improve the viewer experience. We will be adding and modifying pages daily, so be sure to stay on the lookout for some special new features.
Now that the park has been closed to the public for 2 weeks, and Holiday In The Park starts this Friday, this update will be a quick one. However, we do have a bit of news regarding ride reopenings and new additions to Holiday In The Park 2018.
runaway mountain open; harley quinn spinsanity to open soon
If you've visited Six Flags Over Texas recently, you might've noticed that quite a few rides have been closed. Among these rides are Runaway Mountain and Harley Quinn Spinsanity. A friend of ours was at the park this past weekend and informed us that Runaway Mountain has now reopened. In addition, the rumors are that Harley Quinn Spinsanity will be reopening this Friday for Holiday In The Park after being closed for over a month. No word yet on The Riddler Revenge or any of the other closed rides, but we will keep you posted on our site's home page and through our weekly park updates.
johnson creek critter Corral and cozy cafe now in new locations
With Holiday In The Park starting this Friday, preparation for the event is wrapping up. When the Merry Marketplace debuted last year, the Cozy Cafe was located in the spot occupied by the Go Fresh Cafe and the Johnson Creek Critter Corral was located outside and across from the Crazy Horse Saloon, completely exposed to the elements. However, with the extremely popular Texas Taco Bar now open in the spot of the Go Fresh Cafe, the Cozy Cafe has been relocated to the former Cold Stone Limited location across from Primos's Pizzeria. The Johnson Creek Critter Corral will now sit in the spot that was once the Texas Shooting Gallery, and is now a small arcade. This will provide the animals with a covered location that can protect them from rain (or snow, fingers crossed) when the park is open. We've updated our Holiday In The Park Guide to reflect these changes.
That's all for this park update. Because the park was closed this weekend, there isn't much in-park change that we could see for ourselves. However, we now have more information on Holiday In The Park 2018 and ride reopenings! Next week's report will be jam packed with Holiday In The Park updates and other additional news. Stay tuned!
