While not much has gone on this week in terms of construction, we do have some new information on ride planning surveys that could foreshadow what's coming to Six Flags Over Texas in the seasons ahead. We also have an update on a new restaurant that's rumored to be introduced early next season.
Ride Planning Survey
Not too long ago, Six Flags Over Texas sent out a park planning survey that asked for feedback on a new ride concept that could be introduced at the park in the future. The attraction, a Mack Rides Power Splash, has already had one installation in Belgium where it has received great reviews from guests. The ride has clearly caught the eye of the Six Flags corporate design team, and they're now looking into adding one or more of these rides in the Six Flags chain in the future. One park in particular that they're looking closely into is none other than Six Flags Over Texas! Below are some of the questions asked on the survey, and a video showing off what the Mack Rides Power Splash can do.
new "Chop six" update
Last month we reported that the park's Panda Express restaurant has been permanently closed. We immediately saw this as a sign that Chop Six, a Six Flags owned, dining pass friendly food option would be coming to the park for the 2019 season. Well, this appears to be more and more likely as Panda Express restaurants around the chain have all been closing over the past 2 months. Some parks, such as Six Flags St. Louis and Six Flags Fiesta Texas, have already confirmed that their locations will be transformed into Chop Six next season while others, including Six Flags Over Texas, have remained silent. Despite not having an official word from the park, we are still extremely confident that a Chop Six will be introduced next season. As soon as we see any official signs of this, we will be sure to let you all know.
That's all for this week's park update. Lots of exciting things are going on at the park every week, and we love covering them all for you.
